❄️ Gingerbread Cookies ❄️

Hello everyone! Today I’m going to share with you my recipe for great gingerbread cookies! Enjoy!


350g of plain flour

1 egg

2 tsp of ground cinnamon

160g of sugar

A pinch of salt

1/2 a tsp of bicarbonate of soda

150g of butter

150g of honey

2 tsp of ground ginger





Sieve the flour and the sugar in a bowl and add the spices, the salt and the bicarbonate. Add the cold butter and the honey, too.



Beat everything at a medium speed until you get a crumbly consistency, then add the egg and keep beating until the dough starts to come together. Get your hands in the dough and make a ball. Wrap it in clean film and put it in the fridge to rest for 2 hours. After the 2 hours, take it out the fridge and roll it with a rolling pin. You want the dough to be about 5mm high. Cut your shapes of choice and put them in the oven at 180°C for about 10-12 minutes. If you want, you can decorate them with some icing (beat together one egg white and 150g of icing sugar and put them in a piping bag).
