Lemon Cake

Hello everyone! Today  to share recipe for a fantastic lemon cake!


3oog of plain flour

150g of butter

Juice and grated peel of a lemon

3 eggs

150g of sugar

16g of baking powder




First of all, pre-heat the oven at 180°C. Put the yolks and the sugar in a bowl and beat them until they’re pale and fluffy. Then, add the juice and the grated peel of a lemon in and keep beating. Melt the butter, let it cool down and add it to the mixture. Then (you guessed it) keep beating.


Sieve the flour and the baking powder and add them in as well. In a different bowl, beat the egg whites until they’s a stiff consistency and add them a bit at a time in the mixture, folding them gently.


Put the cake in the oven for about 20 minutes. To see if it’s ready, put a toothpick in the middle of the cake and if it comes out clean you can take it out the oven.
